Compare the following two Sesame Street clips and see if you can’t see how the expectations for our nation’s youth have been drastically lowered over the past three decades

Not only were children once expected to absorb the challenging and meandering rhythms of Afro Cuban jazz fusion combined with abstract animated imagery similar to that of Cannes special jury prize winner La Planète sauvage rather than just a cover of Canadian indie pop, they were also expected to count much higher.
4 rather than 12?
I bet the Japanese kids are counting to 20!
